
According to Keys, when she met the Swizz Beatz for the first time as a teenager, she said she honestly "didn’t really like him that much. I though he was ostentatious. He’ll drive the fastest, brightest car, wear the biggest jewelry, the loudest jacket; everything with him is really over the top.“
Keys even said she thought that he was “so annoying” when she first seen him drive past a restaurant driving a huge white Rolls-Royce Phantom. Before she agreed to work in the studio with the producer, she said she “fought tooth and nail.” However, she said once they they did it, they “had a ball.”
Alicia Keys says “I think we’ve taught each other a lot. He’s taught me how to live more fully and I’ve taught him how to live more deeply.” We wish the two the best of luck with their marriage and family.
