Influenced by greats from Donnie Hathaway to Michael Jackson, Brown nabbed two Grammy nominations (Best New Artist and Contemporary R&B Album) with his 2005 self-titled debut album. But his follow-up, Exclusive, solidified his spot in the industry – and in the hearts of female fans.
Brown eventually went off the market when he began dating fellow R&B stunner Rihanna. But the fairy tale was shattered after he allegedly beather in 2009. The incident, which ended their relationship, resulted in Brown being sentenced to probation, community service and a domestic violence course.
