Nicely fitted clothes
Tight clothes are as much of a turn-off as are things that are too-loose. Burn your baggy jeans because “baggy” was never sexy. The sexiness of a man who dresses his body right, is highly desirable and underrated. Tailored shirts, jackets that don’t look like they’re your father’s, and pleat-less trousers that fit that don’t require a belt to hold them up, instead you wear a belt because it finishes off the look – get it?
Teasing us
You’re laughing and we may coyly complain, “Stop making fun of me, it’s not funny…” Secretly, our innards are dancing in giddiness and celebration. The fact that you’re making fun of us means: you remember things that I say and do; and you find those things entertaining or even cute. So, next time I have a wide-eyed moment, feel free to make fun of me.
Can stand chick flicks
Am not saying you should be watching My So Called Life or Sex and the City DVDs religiously, but if I invite you to crawl under a downed-blanket with a bowl of popcorn for 50 First Dates, and you enjoy it – I see the sweet and sensitive side of you, complemented by your protective side.
Enjoys wine
Presumably you’re a grown-up and somewhat sophisticated. I don’t need you to be a wine connoisseur or to be able to say their wine names properly because your Kenyan mother tongue prevents you from pronouncing your “Rs” and “Ls”, enjoying a glass of wine can be an intimate, sensual experience and also an opportunity to enjoy each others conversation.
Confidence
Don’t be a douche, cocky or an arrogant prick. Being confident even in the most subtle of ways can make a dramatic impact. Be decisive. Don’t overstep your boundaries, but certainly don’t take a step back.
Being yourself
You have two left feet and would claim the title of “Nairobi’s Worst Dancer”, you can’t eat anything without dropping a blob of ketchup on your trousers, your laugh is as memorable as it is funny to mock, you love neon-coloured tight skinny pants and you can’t even whistle – all of this suddenly becomes attractive when you the ladies you’ve embraced it all. Don’t apologize for being yourself. After all, that’s what women want in a man, someone who is always themselves.
Hanging out with Mom
If you have a great relationship with your family, there’s a high chance that you are caring, and capable of some form of a relationship. Moreover, if you block out Sundays to hang out with your mom, it shows your respect for women. Major points here.
