Channel O have a weekly show called “Top ten Most” on which they rank the top ten in various categories over the continent. Last week they featured on-air radio personalities and guess who came in at number 3!!!

I was chuffed just to be included on the list, but to come in at number 3 was an unexpected and very welcome surprise. AND, making the whole thing even better, Mckenzie, my fellow presenter at Radiocity, came in at number 6. Number 6!! In the whole of Africa!!! (Mckenzie doesn’t know this but before I started in radio I used to listen to him a lot).

Radiocity had two presenters on the top ten list and I don’t think that is a coincidence. It is a GREAT place to work. It starts at the top with the owners who are extremely relaxed, continues right thru to the PD who allows the on-air talent to express themselves, and to my fellow on-air presenters, who all genuine and fun to be around.

Radiocity lets me be me, and that makes working there a real pleasure. I truly believe that listeners can tell the difference between a presenter that’s just going thru the motions and one that actually enjoys what they are doing.

I’M NUMBER THREE!!!
I’M NUMBER THREE!!!
I’M NUMBER THREE!!!
WOOHOO!!!

Ok, time to get back to work. That number 1 spot isn’t going to earn itself.

2. IK – Nigeria
